Snares - 'Winter In The Belly Of A Snake'
Unintelligeble third release of discordant dirges from Aaron Funk. "If your PC could sing you a love song, it would sound something like this odd and rather disturbing concotion of sounds. Yes, Mr Funk's at it again with an allegedly more mature album that ditches his more abrasive early 'breakcore' material for a darker and more thoughtful edge. While piano twinkles, opera excerpts, poetry samples and erratic synths may be apt for the soundtrack to some crazy art student experiment, it couldn't be further from a satisfying or indeed pleasurable listening experience. 'WITBOAS' apparently contains a strong emotional content dealing with relationships, death and rebirth, although you'd struggle to find any coherent thought processes behind the syncopated clinks, clunks and incessant discord, leaving a cold, ultimately oppressive and nonsensical collection of overly challenging tracks."
